Dartmoor small jar

£295.00

This is a particularly good example of my place specific Dartmoor pots. It is made using a secondary clay that has derived from the local granite, along with quartz and mica grit, also from the granite, with granite inclusions. It is this body that is flashing orange in the woodfiring. The glaze is made from a number of Dartmoor rocks, mainly the granite but also a rare and very pure micro granite that intruded into the other rocks. It was fired on its side in my wood kiln.
